NYC- 5 Places to travel with Kids

Traveling with kids can be very hard. You have to stop to change diapers, find a place to nurse your baby, even find a restaurant with “kid-friendly meals”. It can be very stressful, however, there is so much to do and see and your kids can benefit so much from these outings!
A couple of years ago I did a big NYC trip with my then 8-month-old son. It was a lot of fun. I ended up changing a dirty diaper in less than 5 seconds on a busy subway ride; I nursed my baby at Central Park.
Well, at the end of the busy trip my friend told me: “I hope that when I have kids I have your courage; I don’t want to stop living because I have kids.”

Those words stuck with me… since then I had a second kid and there were times I would pass up a trip because of just the thought, of the hassle, of a fast-paced adventure with 2 little ones.

Well, I don’t want to stop living, I want to live with purpose. I want to enjoy my little ones and share the world with them… There is so much to see, so many places to explore…

Traveling with kids is hard, but you will be making memories that will last a lifetime. Remember to always pack some water and some healthy snacks that can be eaten on the go! Bananas, apples, granola bars are my favorites! Have fun and enjoy life!

Here are my favorite places to visit in NYC:

1- Museum of Natural History:

My kids absolutely love everything about this Museum. Their favorite exhibition is the dinosaurs of course.
I hope as they grow older they learn to love Space exploration as well. We might do a trip this summer and who knows maybe even see Mr. Neil deGrasse Tyson.

2- Children’s Museum of Manhattan:

This one speaks for itself. Created with children in mind this is a learning experience for all children. This is an amazing museum full of hands-on learning. My children had a blast! They played so much at the end of the trip they fell asleep in the stroller. Amazing learning opportunity. Kids will love to explore!

3- Central Park New York City: Go for a walk, a bike ride, a picnic in the park. This is an amazing experience all in itself.

Great outdoor with the beautiful view. Make sure to take your camera to take fun family pictures….

4- Statue of Liberty:

This is a very kid friendly trip. My kids had a blast riding the ferry for the first time. The trip inside Lady Liberty is not very kid friendly but we walked around the island and visited Ellis Island…. Talked about leaving your country to pursue freedom… It was a very humbling trip. Kids absolutely loved it and it was stroller friendly too! I wrote a post of 10 Cool Facts about the Statue of Liberty and it is a must read if you plan to visit! Click here

5- The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum:

This was my son’s favorite NYC trip ever! He still talks about the space shuttle and all the airplanes he saw there.
Words can’t even describe this kid-friendly

trip! Make sure you pack for the day. You can purchase lunch there and eat at the dock.
