If you are not satisfied after your child's first session, contact us within 7 days and we will issue a full refund. No lengthy explanations required. We want families to feel confident, not trapped.
This guarantee applies to both monthly membership enrollments and single-cycle enrollments. To request a refund under this guarantee, email us at raquel@sophiajameseducation.com within 7 days of your child's first session.
You may cancel your monthly membership at any time. To avoid being charged for the next month, your cancellation request must be received before your next billing date. Cancellations are effective at the end of the current billing period — your child may continue attending sessions through that date.
To cancel, email us at raquel@sophiajameseducation.com with your name and "Cancel Membership" in the subject line. We will confirm your cancellation within 2 business days.
We do not offer refunds for partial months after the 7-day satisfaction window has passed. If you cancel mid-cycle, your child's access continues until the end of the billing period.
Single-cycle enrollments are eligible for the 7-day satisfaction guarantee. After 7 days from the first session, single-cycle fees are non-refundable as preparation and group planning have already taken place.
Sessions missed by a student are not eligible for a refund or credit. We understand life happens — if your child misses a session, Dr. DeSouza will provide a brief catch-up summary so they can stay connected to the group's progress.
In the rare event that Dr. DeSouza must cancel a scheduled session due to illness or emergency, families will be offered a full credit toward a future session or a pro-rated refund. We will provide as much advance notice as possible.
If you need to cancel a private tutoring session, please notify us at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time. Sessions canceled with 24 or more hours notice will receive a full refund or session credit, at your preference.
Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours notice, or where the student does not attend without prior notice, are not eligible for a refund. Dr. DeSouza's time has been reserved and prepared for your child specifically.
We understand emergencies happen. If you have an exceptional circumstance — a sudden illness or family emergency — please reach out and we will do our best to accommodate you on a case-by-case basis.
Due to the nature of digital products, all sales of downloadable items (digital planners, worksheets, and similar materials) are generally final once the product has been downloaded or accessed.
If you have not yet downloaded or accessed a digital product and wish to request a refund within 7 days of purchase, please contact us and we will review your request. Approved refunds for digital products will be processed within 5–10 business days.
Physical products (planners, t-shirts, and other merchandise) may be returned within 14 days of delivery if they are unused, in original condition, and in original packaging.
To initiate a return, email us at raquel@sophiajameseducation.com with your order details. We will provide return shipping instructions. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item was received damaged or incorrect.
Refunds for physical products will be processed within 5–10 business days of receiving the returned item.
Damaged or incorrect items: If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with a photo and we will send a replacement or full refund at no cost to you.
