Well, we all have a story to tell and with the availability of the internet we all have now a chance to share our story.

Today, I will teach you step by step how to set up your blog.

First of all I want to thank all of you for taking time out of your busy schedules to learn from us.

The internet is big and is a place where everyone can be successful.
Blog by definition is: a regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style.
There are 2 types of blogs.

A free blog: I have one hosted through wordpress
I love the features, they are simple to use. However, since it is not self hosted I can’t advertise or make money with my website.

I still have my website which I’ve completed 50 posts YAY….

You can monetize your content. (Advertisements- Ads)

In order to register a blog you must have a valid email address.

If you do not have one yet, or if you would like a dedicated email address for your blog please follow these simple instructions on how to set up one for yourself…..

SETTING UP YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS:
I like google because:
1. Google is one of the largest search engine.
2. Google has various services available once you are a member.

www.google.com

2. * On the Right Top corner

“Sign In”

* Since you don’t have an account yet.

3. * You have to create an account.
* Fill out the form with your personal information.
Be creative when creating your user name. It can be professional or it can be unique just like you.
Congratulations!
* As EASY as 1, 2, 3, you are a Google Member, and have access to all the services Google has to offer.

Free WordPress.com account:
www.wordpress.com
* WordPress.com is a free blog platform that allows you to write about different topics
* WordPress is the leading platform but they have a free version that allows you to blog using their own hosted website.  Your address with wordpress is www.YOURWEBSITENAME.wordpress.com
Example: https://sophiajameseducation.wordpress.com

Easy as one, two, three…

Go to wordpress.com and create an account. Use the email address that you just set up to set up your account. 

Fill out basic information about yourself, describe what your website will be about, , add a theme/layout (this is how your website will look like), choose an address (that is your www.ADDRESS.wordpress.com). Make sure to remember this when you pick your website name

This name will be your brand..

*Be Creative

*Be Unique

*Be You and start typing where it says post!

*Pick what type of website name will be.

* We recommend that you pick the FREE service so that you can first try out and later on host your website via www.bluehost.com/track/sophiajameseducation

wordpress.com will ask you to confirm you choice of service remember to choose their free service.

* You will need your e-mail address that we created earlier today for this step.

* When creating a password for your wordpress.com I suggest you do not use the same password you had on your e-mail for security purposes. 

* By clicking Create My Account you officially have agreed to have your own personal blog.

Now it is time to set up your password- remember to write it down. By now you have a gmail, a wordpress and a bluehost password. If you choose download the free password page to keep it organized-

Our next step is to go to wordpress- Remember that you have already create a FREE wordpress account. Now we will link the both…

Install wordpress.

Choose your domain- This is the one you just created through bluehost!

Write down this wordpress login as well or just use the one you created previously!
