As all of you know I am very picky when it comes to T.V.. In our house we do not have cable but we do have several streaming subscriptions. We have Amazon Prime TV, we have Netflix, and Hulu.
In our house we read to our kids a lot. We love to use our imagination. My kids are allowed to watch certain mom and dad approved tv shows and in many cases we buy the toys to go with the tv show so they can recreate the stories during playtime.
This week Amazon reminded me that the first episode was available for a sneak preview to a brand new series “The Stinky and Dirty Show”. Our family traveled this week to NJ so our kids could spend a few days with the grandparents… On Monday morning once they got up, we all sat as a family to watch the first of episode of “The Stinky & Dirty Show. We love the I Stink Book so we were really excited to watch the show.
I have to say the show did not disappoint. What a great family show. My son and my daughter were glued to the TV.
In our house we encourage problem solving and we absolutely loved seeing Stinky and Dirty solving the problems… I loved seeing Stinky say “what if” and try different solutions to the problem. I foster questioning and thoughtful solutions to problems at home and my kids are known for saying “what if…” I totally thought the show was a perfect fit for our family….
We can’t wait to see the other episodes in the series. The series will be available on September 2, 2016.
Thank you Amazon for providing great shows that promote education, thinking and creativity.
We need to remind our kids that there is more than one solution to a problem.. It is ok to fail, but it is not ok not to try….. We need to remind the little ones that if we work together we will get the job done!
